Dr. Sankar Adusumilli

Dr. Sankar N. Adusumilli is an authority in gastrointestinal and colon surgery, with close to 30 years of experience in a wide spectrum of surgical fields, including colon and rectal surgery, gastrointestinal surgery, general surgery, and trauma surgery.

He offers specialized care for various colorectal problems, including cancers, diverticular disease, inflammatory bowel disease, hemorrhoids, complex prolapses, fistulas, and other issues affecting the gastrointestinal tract. He is one of the few surgeons who perform most of his surgeries using robotic, laparoscopic, and minimally invasive methods. Dr. Adusumilli has performed thousands of laparoscopic surgeries and is among the few surgeons in the country to have conducted one of the highest numbers of robotic surgeries in the field of colorectal and gastrointestinal surgery.

His practice has been recognized as one of the best in North Carolina for consecutive years by the Business Journal of North Carolina and other entities.
